Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Amsterdam

Upon reaching Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, your driver will be there to assist with your transfer to the hotel. Once checked in, you can use the rest of the day for personal exploration or relaxation.

Day 2Hop on Hop off bus and boat tour

Post breakfast at hotel you can begin your journey at any of the designated  bus stops near your hotel. The Hop-On Hop-Off Bus will take you through Amsterdam’s key landmarks, including:

  • Rijksmuseum: Famous for Dutch masterpieces, including works by Rembrandt and Vermeer.
  • Van Gogh Museum: Housing the largest collection of Van Gogh’s art.
  • Anne Frank House: A moving historical site where Anne Frank hid during World War II.
  • Royal Palace & Dam Square: The historic heart of Amsterdam.
  • Heineken Experience: Learn about Amsterdam’s famous brewery and enjoy a tasting.

In the afternoon, switch to the Hop-On Hop-Off Boat for a unique canal-side perspective of the city. Glide along Amsterdam’s picturesque canals, passing iconic sights such as the Magere Brug (Skinny Bridge) and the stunning 17th-century canal houses. The boat also stops near major attractions like the NEMO Science Museum and A’DAM Lookout.

End your day by hopping off near one of the lively districts, such as Jordaan or Leidseplein, where you can relax with a meal at a local café or restaurant. The bus and boat tours offer an easy and scenic way to explore Amsterdam without the need for complex planning.

Day 3Zaanse Schans, Marken, Edam, and Volendam Day Trip

Post breakfast get to the boarding point of the tour and start your day with a visit to Zaanse Schans, a picturesque village famous for its well-preserved historic windmills. Just a short drive from Amsterdam, Zaanse Schans offers a step back in time to the 18th and 19th centuries, where you can see:

  • Working Windmills: Explore the inside of functioning windmills, including sawmills, oil mills, and paint mills.
  • Traditional Dutch Workshops: Visit cheese farms to learn about the cheese-making process and try some samples. You can also stop by a clog-making workshop to see how wooden shoes are crafted.
  • Historic Houses: Stroll through streets lined with traditional green wooden houses, offering a charming view of Dutch village life.

Marken & Volendam Next, head to the fishing village of Marken, a former island turned peninsula, known for its wooden houses and traditional Dutch culture. Take a scenic boat ride across the Ijsselmeer to reach Volendam, a vibrant fishing town famous for its colorful harbor and traditional costumes.

In Volendam, enjoy a stroll along the harbor, visit the Volendam Museum, and taste the local specialty, smoked eel. You’ll also have the opportunity to visit a traditional Dutch cheese factory, where you can watch the cheese-making process and purchase some local cheeses.

Edam In the afternoon, travel to the charming town of Edam, famous for its world-renowned Edam cheese. Walk through its narrow, cobblestone streets and explore historical sites like the Great Church of Edam and Edam’s Cheese Market. If visiting during the summer months (July-August), you might get to see a traditional cheese market in action.

After exploring these iconic Dutch villages, return to Amsterdam in the early evening and explore the city on your own, later return back, and overnight to the hotel.

Day 4Amsterdam - Paris

After enjoying your stay in Amsterdam, start your day with breakfast at your hotel. Once you’ve packed your belongings and checked out, meet your private chauffeur in the hotel lobby. Your chauffeur will assist you with your luggage and drive you to Amsterdam Central Train Station in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle. Upon arrival at Central Station, your chauffeur will help you with your luggage to ensure a smooth transition to the train. Board your high-speed train to Paris, which takes approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Gare du Nord station, you will be greeted by another private chauffeur. They will assist you with your luggage and drive you to your hotel in Paris in a comfortable vehicle. Once you arrive at your hotel in Paris, check in and settle into your room. Take some time to unwind and freshen up after your journey.  You can spend the rest of the day relaxing and exploring the hotel amenities, or take a leisurely walk around the local area to get a feel for your new surroundings. This smooth and seamless transfer from your hotel in Amsterdam to your hotel in Paris, including the train journey, ensures that you travel comfortably and efficiently, allowing you to relax and enjoy the transition between these two iconic European cities.

Day 5Paris city tour with Eiffel tower and Seine River Cruise

Begin your day with a visit to the Eiffel Tower. Aim to arrive early to avoid long lines. You’ll take the elevator to the 2nd level, where you’ll enjoy spectacular views of Paris, including landmarks such as the Arc de Triomphe and Montmartre. The 2nd level offers a great vantage point and includes a restaurant and gift shop.

After descending from the Eiffel Tower, head to the Champs-Élysées, one of Paris’s most famous avenues. Stroll along this grand boulevard, visit high-end shops, and make your way to the Arc de Triomphe. Climb to the top for another fantastic view of the city and the grand boulevards radiating from the arch.

Enjoy lunch at a café or bistro in the Le Marais district, known for its historic charm and vibrant atmosphere. After lunch, explore Le Marais, a neighborhood rich in history and culture. Visit sites such as the Place des Vosges (one of Paris’s oldest squares), and explore the Musée Picasso or the Musée Carnavalet, dedicated to the history of Paris.

Head to the Seine River for a scenic boat cruise. Many cruises depart from near the Eiffel Tower or other central locations. The cruise will take you past several of Paris’s most famous landmarks, including Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Louvre, and the Musée d’Orsay. The journey typically lasts about 1 hour and offers a unique perspective of the city’s architecture and bridges.

Later return to the hotel and day at leisure.

Day 6Excursion to Palace of Versailles

Start your day early to maximize your time at Versailles. You can reach the Palace by train from Paris, taking the RER C line from central Paris to Versailles Château Rive Gauche station. The journey takes about 40-50 minutes. Alternatively, you can take a guided tour that includes transportation from Paris.

Begin your tour of the Palace of Versailles, known for its lavish interiors and historical significance. Highlights include:

  • The Hall of Mirrors: Marvel at the opulent ballroom with its stunning mirrors and crystal chandeliers.
  • The King’s Grand Apartments: Admire the lavish rooms of Louis XIV and the intricately designed decor.
  • The Queen’s Apartments: Explore the rooms of Marie Antoinette, including her private chambers and the beautiful Petit Trianon.

Spend the afternoon strolling through the Gardens of Versailles, designed by André Le Nôtre. The expansive gardens feature stunning fountains, sculptures, and meticulously manicured lawns. Depending on the season, you might catch a musical fountain show. Visit the Grand Trianon, a retreat for the royal family, and the Petit Trianon, a more intimate residence used by Marie Antoinette. Both offer a glimpse into the private lives of the French royalty and provide beautiful settings.

Day 7Departure

On your final morning in Paris, have breakfast at your hotel and perhaps a last-minute stroll or shopping excursion before checking out. Later enjoy a private transfer to Paris airport for the flight back to homeland/next destination.
